Invest Nigeria Initiatives (INI)
Invest Nigeria Initiatives (INI) is the structured investment and economic empowerment arm of the Great Nigerian Assembly (GNA)—a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit global coalition of Nigerian professionals committed to building a new Nigeria through good governance, the rule of law, and grassroots empowerment.
INI was established to mobilize Nigerian professionals—especially those in the diaspora—into coordinated, transparent, and impact-driven investments in Nigeria’s real economy, with a strategic focus on Agriculture and Real Estate.
INI is headed by GN (Dr.) Sunday Adebiyi, an Australia-based surgeon with extensive experience in agribusiness, property investment, and structured capital deployment, and a serving member of the GNA Global Board of Trustees (GBoT).
Vision
To become Nigeria’s most trusted diaspora-led investment mobilization platform, catalyzing sustainable economic growth, food security, housing development, and long-term wealth creation—while restoring diaspora confidence in investing back home.
Mission
To rally Nigerians in the diaspora and at home into well-governed investment initiatives that:
- Generate measurable and sustainable returns.
- Create jobs at scale, particularly for youth and women.
- Strengthen local and regional economies.
- Promote transparency, accountability, and community ownership.
Strategic Advantage
INI operates on the conviction that diaspora capital—when properly structured, governed, and community-anchored—can drive faster and more sustainable national development than aid or consumption-based remittances. INI shifts diaspora engagement from sending money to building productive assets.
A key differentiator is INI’s strategic collaboration with the GNA Coverage Area Administrator (CAA) Governance Model, which provides local intelligence, monitoring, and accountability at the Local Government (LG) level, significantly reducing investment risk and improving impact delivery.
Core Investment Pillars
- Agriculture (LG-Centric & Grassroots-Focused)
INI deploys bottom-up agricultural investments at the Local Government level to:
- Engage youth and women in productive employment
- Boost food production and national food security
- Strengthen value chains (production, processing, storage, logistics)
- Improve community-level self-sufficiency
Models include: cooperative farms, cluster farming, agro-processing facilities, and public–community–diaspora partnerships—implemented with direct support from GNA CAA structures.
- Real Estate (Diaspora Housing & Structured Property Ownership)
INI’s Diaspora Housing Initiative enables Nigerians abroad to own homes and real estate assets in Nigeria in a convenient, trusted, and professionally managed manner.
Key features include:
- Verified land titles and legal due diligence
- Transparent acquisition and payment structures
- Flexible models (installments, rent-to-own, cooperatives)
- Professional project management and reporting
- Remote participation without constant physical presence
The focus is on planned, serviced, and titled developments—not speculative land trading—ensuring long-term value and security.
Governance & Trust Framework
INI operates under institutional oversight of the GNA, with:
- Clear governance and reporting structures
- Independent verification and due diligence
- Ethical, non-political investment principles
This framework directly addresses the trust deficit that has historically constrained diaspora investment.
Impact & Value Proposition
- Secure pathway for diaspora capital into productive assets
- Job creation and youth engagement at scale
- Improved food security and housing supply
- Long-term wealth creation and intergenerational asset building
- Complementary support to national and local development effort
