HISTORY

about image

Amidst Nigeria's yearning for good governance, the rule of law, and meritocracy, a pivotal chapter emerges as an embodiment of unity, foresight, and unwavering determination. The journey commences with the Nigerian Diaspora Foundation (NDF), a catalyst that would later transform into the esteemed Great Nigerian Assembly (GNA). Yet, within this narrative, we must not overlook the Nigerian Stakeholder Forum (NSF) – a digital haven born on WhatsApp, nurtured by Chief Gabe Okoye, Hon. Tunji Adeleke, and fellow Nigerians, all driven by the aim of discussing issues that nurture Nigeria's growth and development.

At the core of the Great Nigerian Assembly's formation stands Dr. Kayode Elusoji, an eminent IT expert and the Chairman of CPI Group Holdings, an amalgamation of ICT, Properties, Engineering, Health Services, and Investment enterprises. Guided by the journey that relocated his family to the United States, he envisioned a coalition of kindred Nigerian spirits, both abroad and at home, ushering in a new era of progress, unhindered by religious, tribal, or ethnic distinctions. His concept was elegantly simple: translate words into actions, properly conceived, digested, and implemented in the form of advice to the government and direct projects that impact our people. To this end, he extended the proposition of the GNA to fellow Nigerian professionals spanning the globe, from the US to the UK, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands, South Africa, Canada, the UAE, and Nigeria.

The GNA stands as a bastion of non-partisan integrity, non-governmental fervor, and non-profit benevolence, beckoning to every Nigerian heart to unite and surmount our nation's challenges, irrespective of the divisions that may have once separated us. It paints the portrait of a rejuvenated Nigeria, where the colors of education, healthcare, energy, transportation, tourism, and agriculture intermingle in a harmonious symphony of prosperity.

Thus, on the historic day of November 10th, 2018, the Great Nigerian Assembly emerged as a constellation of brilliance, guided by luminaries such as Kayode Elusoji, Chukwuemeka Obiora, Danjuma Babayaro, Adetunji Adeleke, Emmanuel Chinedu, and Johnson Adetayo. These are not mere names but the pillars upon which the GNA stands tall. Joined by the likes of Lekan Martins, Sunday Adebiyi, Danladi Ibrahim, Raphael Opeyemi, and Adamu Ahmed, they form an orchestra of transformation, each note resonating with the promise of a brighter Nigeria.

Let us embrace the GNA's saga as an anthem of inspiration. It serves as a fervent reminder that united, we possess the power to overcome any challenge and manifest the extraordinary. Together, as Nigerians, we shall heed the call of the GNA and forge a destiny befitting our great nation, a destiny truly deserving of our collective aspirations.
