Initiator Requirements
- Must be a full and verified member of GNA for at least 6 months with a minimum of Gold membership level.
- Township organizations or individual residing overseas can sponsor a local chapter in their respective local government area in Nigeria.
- While the Initiator (s), if based overseas, can be part of the BoT, they cannot be part of the local executive.
- If the Local Chapter Sponsor(s) is based in Nigeria, the sponsor can be part of the local Executive.
- Minimum membership number is 25 before a chapter can be approved.
- Initiators from overseas cannot be part of the local executive but will be regarded as the Chapter Board of Trustees (BoT).
Detailed Steps to Start a Chapter
- Initial Contact:
- Verify membership status.
- Confirm the minimum number of members required.
- Complete Registration:
- Register the chapter online through the GNA platform.
- Provide necessary details and documentation.
- Approval Process:
- GNA will review the application.
- The process typically takes three weeks.
- Formal Inauguration:
- Once approved, the chapter and the executive team will be formally inaugurated at an agreed date either physically or via Zoom.
- The chapter will be listed on the GNA global platform with a link to its dedicated website.
- Operational Setup:
- Chapter Operational manual and global bylaw detail all the activities of the chapter.
- Chapter may adopt additional bylaws, and submit such to the GNA Global Membership Director.
- Promote membership and participation within the chapter.
- Membership Vouchers:
- Chapter promoters can purchase membership vouchers in bulk through their user dashboard.
