Initiator Requirements

• Must be a full and verified member of GNA for at least 6 months with a minimum of Gold membership level.
• Township organizations or individual residing overseas can sponsor a local chapter in their respective local government area in Nigeria.
• While the Initiator (s), if based overseas, can be part of the BoT, they cannot be part of the local executive.
• If the Local Chapter Sponsor(s) is based in Nigeria, the sponsor can be part of the local Executive.
• Minimum membership number is 25 before a chapter can be approved.
• Initiators from overseas cannot be part of the local executive but will be regarded as the Chapter Board of Trustees (BoT).

Detailed Steps to Start a Chapter

1. Initial Contact:
• Verify membership status.
• Confirm the minimum number of members required.
2. Complete Registration:
• Register the chapter online through the GNA platform.
• Provide necessary details and documentation.
3. Approval Process:
• GNA will review the application.
• The process typically takes three weeks.
4. Formal Inauguration:
• Once approved, the chapter and the executive team will be formally inaugurated at an agreed date either physically or via Zoom.
• The chapter will be listed on the GNA global platform with a link to its dedicated website.
5. Operational Setup:
• Chapter Operational manual and global bylaw detail all the activities of the chapter.
• Chapter may adopt additional bylaws, and submit such to the GNA Global Membership Director.
• Promote membership and participation within the chapter.
6. Membership Vouchers:
• Chapter promoters can purchase membership vouchers in bulk through their user dashboard.
